I’m suffering from insomnia and it’s really disturbing. I can go weeks without sleeping and I really can’t carryout my day to day activities

Insomnia is a sleep disorder characterized by no or short duration of sleep at night.
If left untreated, insomnia can increase one’s risk of developing diabetes, obesity, heart diseases etc
First, I would advise on stress management and good sleep hygiene measures such as avoiding day time naps, avoiding caffeine and alcohols about 4 – 6 hours before bedtime, avoiding heavy meals before bedtime, minimizing noise and light in the bedroom, practice relaxation techniques such as having a cool or warm bath before bedtime etc
Secondly, see a specialist for proper assessment
